The Prince of Wales Cup and Te Mori rose bowl were at stake in a match between North Island Maoris and South Island Maoris to-day. South retained the trophies, .winning by 10 points to 9. Soon afterwards the scores were 9—nil but North faded- badly in the second spell and ultimately a potted goal when the scores were 9 —6 in favour of the North brought victory to South.
