DAMAGING FLOODS IN MURRAY.
MANY RESIDENTS FLEEING.

Flood -waters from the Murray River broke the banks with a roar and poured over the low-lying land ‘near Manhum. Residents forsook their homes and fled, driving their stock before them. The lower end of Mannum is flooded, while the water is creeping into the main sheet. Farmers have suffered great losses.
