SHIPPING AMALGAMATION
UNION AND CANADIAN PACIFIC.
JOINT OWNERSHIP ARRANGED.

Wellington, Last Night.
The Union' Steam Ship Company announced to-day that a company had been incorporated under the name CanadianAustralian Line, Liinited, to take over the Pacific liners Aorangi and Niagara, operating between Vancouver, New Zealand and Australia. The company will be jointly owned and operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company and the _ Union Steam Ship Company, and will receive the traffic support of both companies, r Mr. J. C. Irons, who has represented the Union Company’s interests in Canada for many years, has been appointed general manager of the company with head office in Vancouver. 1 '
