JERSEY CATTLE CLUB

NEW PLYMOUTH MEETING. A meeting of the New Plymouth Jersey Cattle Club was held day. There were present Messrs. H. C. Sampsoii (chairman), J. S. Jones, A. J. Luxton, G. H. Bell, A. R. Bayly and E. Griffiths. It was decided to adopt the report of the sub-committee set up to go into the matter of the club’s next bull sale. The club decided to make a donation of £5 for the pedigree classes in the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs calf-rearing competition. It was decided to ask the committee of the Taranaki Agricultural Society to enlarge and improve the Jersey judging ring at the show grounds. A statement of income and expenditure for the year ending June 30 was adopted. The income amounted to £162 145., which with the balance from last year of £55 3s. lid., brought the total to £217 17s. lid. The expenditure was £154 10s., and the balance in the bank and cash in hand, less outstanding cheques, was £63 7s. lid. ■
