NO DECREASE IN PRICES. EFFECT OF GERMAN SITUATION*. Owing apparently to the German situation the dairy produce markets have been quiet during the latter "part of the week, while in some cases they are described as slow to dull. There is, however, in most cases a slightly higher range of prices than last week“The cheese market has not varied much during the week and closes with white quiet' and coloured firm,” states cabled advice received yesterday by Newton King Ltd. from R. and W. Davidson Ltd., which quotes white at 60s to 61s (60s to 61s last week) and coloured at 62s to 64s (61s to 635). The advice concludes: “The butter market has eased slightly and is slow at the reduced prices. Salted is 110 s to 114 s (112? to 114 s).” “Butter is quiet owing to the German situation,” states advice received on Thursday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. from its London house. New- Zealand choicest salted butter is auoted at 114 s to 115 s (114 s to 115 s last week). White cheese is quoted at. 61s (60s to 61s) and coloured at 63s (62s to 635) on a quiet market.” Both markets are described as ’slow in a cable received yesterday by Mr. E. Griffiths fiom A. J.
