Rcc. 12.10 a.m. Canberra, July 23. The Minister of Customs, Mr. F. M. Forde, replying to a question in the House, said the Customs Department had no knowledge of the present whereabouts of the imported New Zealand racehorse Simba which, when it arrived here in May, was declared to be worth £l5O but was known to be worth considerably more. It thus escaped heavier primage duty. Action was now being taken to prosecute the importer.
