WOMAN FOUND UNCONSCIOUS

INJURED FROM FALL OR BLOW.

MYSTERY IN CHRISTCHURCH.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, July 23.

With the discovery of a woman lying unconscious on the footpath of Fitzgerald Avenue last evening a puzzling case has been left for the police to elucidate.

The woman when taken to the hospital recovered somewhat and gave her name as Mrs. Bain, and her address as Cashel Street. The woman was unconscious when picked up and bleeding from the mouth, the result either of a fall or a blow.

She is still unable to give a coherent account of what happened, but her condition is not serious. She is 30 years of age.
