Mr. J. A. C. Allum, chairman of the Transport Board, has consented to contest the Auckland West seat in the Reform Party’s interests. Mr. M. J. Savage (Labour) is the sitting member.

In response to an enthusiastic gathering of Reform supporters at Morrinsville to-day, Sir James Parr acceded to the request to stand for the Waikato seat at the general elections. Mr. F. Lye is the sitting member.
