SEVERE STORM IN AUCKLAND
HEAVY RAIN AND A FIERCE WIND SEAS ROUGH OFF THE EAST COAST By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The most severe gale this winter swept over Auckland to-day with heavy rain. The force of the wind was fierce and minor damage was done. Exceptionally heavy seas were running off the east coast but the Sonoma, which is inaugurating the new San Francisco-Auckland-Sydney service is expected to arrive according to schedule.
