Y.W.C.A. HOLDS CONCERT
ENJOYABLE MUSICAL EVENING. An enjoyable concert in aid of the Y.W.C.A. funds and arranged under the auspices of the Mothers’ Club by Mrs. A B. Macdonald, took p'lace in the Y.W.C.A. hall, New Plymouth, last night. Despite the very unpleasant weather there was a fair attendance. The programme was: Pianoforte solo, Miss Elva Crawshaw; baritone solo, Mr. Laurie Middleweek; elocutionary I item, Miss Edna Marsden; soprano solo, Miss E. V. Cartwright; violin solo, Mr. Eric Nielson; elocutionary selection, Mrs. F. Kircher; baritone solo. Mr. Leu Kerr; whistling solo, Miss Edna Rothery; soprano solo, Mrs. Keith Jones; ’vocal duet, Misses E. and E. Cartwright; baritone solo, Mr. Laurie Middleweek; elocutionary selection, Mrs. F. Kircher; contralto solo, Miss E. Cartwright; mezzo-soprano solo, Mrs. A- B. Macdonald; whistling solo, Miss Edna Rothery; baritone solo, Mr. Len Kerr. Miss E. Crawshaw was the accompaniste.
