FAMILY’S ESCAPE
MISHAP. AT OTAHUHU. A narrow escape was experienced by Mr. Henry F. Tucker and his wife and five children about 2 p.m. on Wednesday, when, as the result of a collision with another motor-ear at Otahuhu, their car was overturned. The accident occurred at the intersection of Avenue and Panmure Roads.
Mr. Tucker, was driving along Avenue Road ift a five-seater saloon ear, accompanied by his family, when it collided with, a two-seater coupe car being driven,. along Panmure Road by Mrs. M. H. Otway, of Te Awamutu. The right-hand front mudguard and wheel of the smaller car struck the body of the saloon car jn the vicinity of the rear door and after swerving to the left Mr. Tucker’s car capsized and lay on its side. The occupants of the overturned car were thrown violently against its windows as it struck the ground. One of the children suffered slightly from bruises. Both cars were extensively damaged. Mrs. Otway wa<s accompanied by her husband, and both escaped injury.
