Airs, J. H. Alorton was hostess at a very enjoyable bridge evening on Wednesday. The drawing room was beautifully decorated with bowls of winter flowering irises, Iceland poppies and scarlet berries. Those present were Alesdames Carman, A. Stewart, D. Syme, De Launay, R. Darling, E. Carter, A. Chrystal,. D. Saunders, C. Stauners, J. L. Weir, S’. Wylds, S. Carson and Mies Brown. I'he winners of the prizes were Alesdames Weir and Syme.

Mrs. W. Clements was hostess at a .very enjoyable afternoon on Tuesday. The hostess received her guests wearing a smart frock of floral crepe-de-®lune. Among those present were Alesdames W.
