HOUSEWARMING AT WAIPUKU.

A most enjoyable and largely attended housewariiiing reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Crosby on the Croydon Road, Waipuku, on Thursday night, June 18. The esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Crosby are held was shown by the large number of friends present. A very happy evening was spent in card playing for the elders and dancing for the younger people. A dainty supper was served by Mrs. Crosby and ten willing helpers. Afterwards Mr. Vcstey spoke on behalf of the visitors and warmly congratulated the host and hostess on completing and entering their beautiful new home. Mr. Vestey then called on Mr. Graham, of the Midhirst Dairy Company. He complimented Mr. and Mrs. Crosby upon what many years of hard work had brought them and he wished them many years of happy life in their new home. '.He also complimented Mr. Plows, the builder, upon .the erection of the building. Mr. Plows suitably replied. The evening ended by singing “For They Are Jolly Good I 1 ellows. -J
