CANADA’S BUDGET PASSED
MAJORITY OF OVER THIRTY. TWO AMENDMENTS DEFEATED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.15 p.m. Ottawa, June 18. The Budget was passed by the Canadian House of Commons by a majority of 32, the voting being 102 to 70, after a United Farmers’ sub-amendment advocating the suspension of the redemption of the Dominion’s notes in gold was defeated by 165 to 15 and a Liberal amendment which called for a policy to overcome the economic depression was defeated by 109 to 70.
