FAREWELL FUNCTION.
Prior to her leaving the district Mrs. B. Winmill was tendered a farewell and presentation social in the Cardiff Hall on Monday afternoon, about 50 ladies being present. A programme of items was presented as follows: —Misses Hoskins, pianoforte duet; Mrs. E. W. Hancock and Mrs. Vallis, songs and duets; Miss E. Gadby, song. Mrs. D. Shannon presided. She spoke of the way Mrs. Winmill had helped the district and said that no matter what trouble had arrisen Mrs. Winmill had always approached and disposed of it in the happiest of spirits. Airs. Shannon asked Mrs. Winmill, on behalf of the ladies of the ’district, to accept an eiderdown quilt. Afternoon tea was then served, the closing item being “Should 010 Acquaintance be Forgot.’’ Mrs. Percy Ala reliant was pianist.
