MACKENZIE—CAMPBELL. A very pretty wedding was quietly solemnised at the residence of the Rev. and Mrs. P. B. Fraser, Dunedin, on June 1, when John, eldest son of Mr. Hugh Mackenzie, of Walter Peak, Queenstown, was united in matrimony to Florence, older daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. David Campbell, of West Taieri Manse, Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s father, assisted by the Rev. P. B. Fraser. The bride, who entered on the arm of her paternal grandfather, was gowned in apricot georgette peaked with insets of Oriental lace, and a large cape collar fell from the shoulders of the tightfitting bodice. The sleeves were Jong and graceful, and a spray of delicate hue was at the waist. Her silver veil, falling to the hem of the train of the gown, was draped in cap style on the head and finished with’ a coronet, of orange blossoms, and she wore silver shoes to tone. Her only ornament was a string of pearls, the gift of her parents, and she carried a sheaf of golden brown chrysanthemums. Her sister, Miss Irene Campbell, was bridesmaid, wearing a sky blue satin sleeveless frock flared and with bolero and silver shoes to tone. A shaped basque defined the waistline of her frock, from which fell a rainbow spray with silver streamers. A Victorian posy of pink and lavender sweet peas with touches of blue forget-me-nots finished her toilette. Mrs. Campbell was attired in black silk marocain with gold lace panels and gold shoes to match. Professor S. F. Hunter attended as best man. The reception was held in the library. The bride travelled in a handsome ensemble of saxe blue tweed and leather with hat to match, and carried a smart grey hand bag. GEDGE—MATTHEWS The marriage took place at the Church of Christ, Wanganui, on Tuesday, April 14, of Sylvia Daphne, eldest daughter of Mrs. L. Matthews, of Wanganui, and the. late Mr. Matthews, of Gisborne, to Eric Francis, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. G. W. Gedge, of Hawera. Mr. George Mathieson performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. L. E. Bridges, wore a flaired frock of lemon crepe-de-chine, with cream lace collar, front panel, and cuffs and finished with a diamante buckle; Her hat was of lemon . WILKINS—OLD. The wedding was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Wanganui, on June 3, of Alma Ethel, youngest daughter of Mr. annd Mi's. W. Old, of Kai Iwi, to Ralph Roland, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins, Waverley. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Hoare. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an ankle-length frock of ivory satin. The veil, lent by a friend, was arranged cap fashion, and. held, in place by orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums, carnations and fern. Miss J. Wilkins, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Barber, of Maxwell, acted as bridesmaids.. Both wore soft turquoise blue satin, with felt hats to tone, caught with satin ribbon, and carried shower bouquets of pale pink and lemon flowers. They both wore amber necklaces, the gift •of the bridegroom, and their crepe de chine shoes matched their frocks. Mr. F. Hunter, of Waverley, acted as best man, annd Mr. Ray Old of Kai Iwi brother of the bride as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Virginia Lake Kiosk. The tables were decorated with Iceland poppies and chrysanthemums. Mrs. Old received her guests wearing navy crepe de chine, small navy hat and cloth coat. Mrs. Wilkins, mother of the bridegroom, wore black crepe de chine, silk coat and black hat. ’ STILL—DERRETT.

The marriage was celebrated at St. George’s Churc-h, Patea, on May 29,-of Ivy Mabel Derrett, eldest grand-daught-er of Mr. and Mrs. C. Derrett, of “Pine Hill,” Patea, to George Arnold Still, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Still, of Hertfordshire, London. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. 0. Gibson. The bride, who was given away by her grandfather, wore a charming frock of pale lemon embossed taffetas. The skirt was circular and finished at the waist with two flared frills. A dainty cape fell gracefully from the sleeveless bodice and the high waisted belt was fastened with a very pretty ibuckle. Her veil was beautifully embroidered and worn with clusters of orange blossoms and she carried a. shower bouquet of pale lemon? roses, chrysanthemums, maidenhair fern, tied with long lemon ribbon streamers. A sleeveless anklelength frock of oyster grey faille was the choice of the bridesmaid, Miss Margaret Besley. The bodice was made with a georgette yoke and a coatee of silver, adorned with a bow on the back of the collar made a dainty finish to the frock. Her hat of buttercup lemon felt turned back from the face, was trimmed with, small velvet flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Alfred Honeyfield, of Whenuakura. Later a large number of guests were entertained at the Town Hall, where the supper room and tables were effectively arranged.with lemon flowers and autumn leaves. The wedding cake was beautifully decorated and the bride and bridegroom sat beneath a large bell of lemon-shaded roses, Mrs. E. Derrett wore a black silk frock with black coat and hat. A posy of autumn-tinted flowers was carried. The bride’s sister wore a brown jumper suit, brown hat and coat and carried a posy of autumn flowers. / When the bride left on her honeymoon she wore a smart red tweed frock, small brown hat, brown velour coat with fur collar and cuffs, shoes and handbag to tone.
