AN ORIGINAL EXHIBIT.

SASH AND DOOR FACTORY, LTD. In keeping with former years’ efforts the New Plymouth Sash and Door Company, Ltd., “has agajn staged an exhibit well worth the attention of visitors to the show. Symbolic of the company’s sawmilling business, part of the exhibit consists of a big, rangy-toothed circular saw cutting through a rough rimu log. As.is well-known, the company has. its own sawmill only 14 miles from New Plymouth at Koru, where large and varied stocks of timber are cut and sold. The Sash and Door Company, by reason of l its efficient fleet of motorlorries, is in a position to provide the same service as modern photographic shops-—a same-day service. •The sawmill at Koru is an up-to-date one, and special orders can easily be dealt with, whether in bulk sizes for building works, or in smaller sizes for building or repairs on house or farm. Country clients are able to go to the mill and take delivery of their requirements as wanted. A collection of the timbers stocked and sold by the company adds interest to the exhibition of work in undressed timber. MODEL FOWL-HOUSE. At the back of the stand a model hen-house has been erected. It is constructed of the famous Ten Test Wallboard and all poultry fanciers are invited to inspect it. Ten Test is described as being eool in summer and warm in winter, and great is the variety of its uses.

Choice specimens of the furniture and joinery made are on view in the shape of mantels, glass-panelled doors and two sideboards —products- of the company’s efficient staff and plant, which can make any article to customers’ specifications. “EASIFOLD” WINDOW FITTING The latest and best window fitting available provided visitors with an interesting time yesterday. It is the “Easifold,” and is specially adapted for porch windows. Rain cannot enter when the window is shut, and the method of operation is very simple. Another little device, ingenious in its simplicity, is the Draughtless Doorpad. A spring prevents the felt-bottomed pad from catching obstacles' until the latch of the door is almost clicked, when a projecting knob presses the pad to the step, and effectively keeps out gales and driving rain. Agencies held by the company include Wilson’s Cement and Limo, and Upson Board. There arc always good stocks of materials in alliance with the timber trade —three-ply timber, posts, battens, drain-pipes and corrugated iron. , The Sash and Door turnery is wellknown, and this part of the exhibit will attract much attention. A speciality is made of shop-front fittings.
