BIBLE SOCIETY’S GOOD WORK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Presbyterian Assembly to-day the Rev. David Calder, secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, referred to the work done by the society in spreading the Scriptures throughout the world. The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw, in seconding a motion of appreciation, recalled how the Bible Society had sent over 7000 copies of the Scriptures to be distributed free of cost amongst refugees from the earthquake area. The Rev. T. E. Riddle, of India, also spoke in appreciation.
