Taking the lead Dark Isle, closely attended by 1 Perides, established a clear lead with Gadray, which tailed off about five furlongs from home. Drake tried to overtake Dark Isle, which moved away and won by two. lengths brilliantly. He jumped splendidly ail through. Perides came to griefi- Gadray finished fast and did wonderfully well to finish third three-quarters of a length behindi Drake.
