EXTENSION OF PARLIAMENT
PROPOSAL IN QUEENSLAND.
TWO PARTIES FAVOUR PLAN.

When the Government Party meets on the return of the Premier, Mr. Moore, from Melbourne it is understood that he is to be asked to consider extending the life of the present State Parliament from three to five years. The annual coi.ference of the Country ’ Progressive National Party has already urged the idea, and the Premier expressed hi; iself definitely in favour of it. He declared that if it were considered desirable to extend the period he would have it done without a referendum.
