DISQUALIFIED FOR LIFE
DRIVING LICENSE CANCELLATION. GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Found guilty, with a strong recommendation to mercy, of negligently driving a motor car and causing the deaths of Francis Galland and Betty Bothwell, Reuben George Bothwell, who was tried in the Supreme Court to-day. was disqualified for all time from obtaining a motor driver’s license. The Chief Justice (Sir Al. Myers) said that where a person was subject to what the counsel had termed ’’absence of mind,” as had been shown in this case he wds not fit to drive a motor-car. Accused was also ordered to pay costs and a fine of £5O.
