Whittington, London, and their daughter,, who have been on an extended visit to New Zealand, leave New Plymouth at the end of the month for Auckland on their return to England via Australia. Whittington is an ardent angler, and has spent many enjoyable days on the Taranaki streams, fishing with both dry and wet flies, with considerable success. He considers that the Taranaki streams are ideal for the sport and are eapable of. carrying much greater numbers of trout. The Taupo fishing, he says, could not |)e excelled anywhere in the world. Air. Whittington intends returning in a couple of years for a further season’s angling in Taranaki streams.
