The 'New Plymouth horses are being sent , along now in view of racing at Hawera on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Orapai sprinted well and Omeo recorded a .flno performance to beat Little’Doubt over seven' furlongs. • * # * Orapai (Davis) always had the measure of Garrick (Drinkwater) over five furlongs in Imin. 2Jsec., the first two being run in 234 sec. ♦ • ■ • « ■ -o (Singer (Robinson) ran six furlongs on the plough at a good three-quarter pace) being picked tip over the final three furlongs by Green Patch (Drinkwater)-. . 1 # * * jCrcnnatown (G.-Brown) was schooled oyer four hurdles, but gave a very poor display.
