The annual meeting of the Hinemoa Ladies’ Hockey Club was held last ni’ght, Aliss N. Adams presiding. The annual report stated tha£ the 1930 season had proved successful, the credit balance being £5 16s lOd. Although this was lower than last year the fact of travelling expenses being high was responsible. The club paid part of the expenses for th.e trip to Wanganui. The representative match between .Rangitikei and Taranaki was played at Hawera, the club entertaining both teams. Owing to the bad weather the support expected had. not been received, expenditure exceeding receipts. Travelling expenses were again very high, as the club had so far to travel and the only means of transit being by bus. In conjunction with the men’s club, several dances had been held, including the annual June 3 tournament dance, all of which proved successful. The ' club owed thanks to Mrs. Adams and the ladies who had. assisted. Neither of the teams had been very successful with its games but good practice should bring them back to their usual form. The club was represented in the Taranaki team by Alisses Stevens and Shannon. The trip to and from Wanganui had become an annual affair, increasing the interest in hockey. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. H. G. Dickie, AI.P.; pre|ident, Mr. A. Grant; five vice-presidents were elected; secretary, Miss N. Shannon; treasurer, Miss I. Prince; club captain, Mrs. A. Meyers; vice-captain, Miss B. Stevens; committee, Alisses N. Adams, J. AlcGlashan, M. Woolliams, N. Davis, D. Clement, K. Goodwin and K.
