CHURCH BROADCASTING
SUNDAY SERVICES ON THE AIR.
APPLICATION FROM ST. MARY’S.
In the course of a few weeks Sunday services from St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, will be broadcast by Station 2YB. The vestry of St. Mary s has applied for a line linking the church with the station. The North Taranaki Radio Society has decided to make immediate arrangements for the installation of the line. _ Representatives of the w^ tele Y Methodist, the Baptist and St Marys Churches held a conference with the society’s representatives in November regarding the broadcasting of church services. For technical reasons it was considered advisable to run a separate relay line to St. Mary’s Church and to run a party line to connect the Whiteley and Baptist Churches. . It is understood that the Whiteley and Baptist churches have verbally notified the society that they are prepared to share between them the cost of a party line connecting the two churches. Further stops for broadcasting from those two churches are, held up at present until the society receives a definite application from them.
