FITZROY BEACH MATTERS
ANOTHER GALA DAY TO BE HELD.
A gala day will be held at Fitzroy beach on March 14 and arrangements for it were made at a meeting of the Seaside Park Committee on Tuesday.
As the junior pennant life-saving competition is to be held at the beach the same day it. was decided to rope off an area of the beach on the occasion and also to prevent surfing during the progress of the ’competitions. The recent guessing competition held.
by the society was won by Mr. F. Reston, who guessed the correct number, 143. .
The society acknowledges donations of £1 from Mr. Reston, trees from Miss Rossiter and siguwriting by the Wood, service*
