ORDERS FOR BRITISH GOODS
NEW RECORD AT INDUSTRIES FAIR. British Wireless. Recd. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. ?L Exhibitors express complete satisfaction with the British Industries Fair. noW in its second week in London and Birmingham. The attendances have been larger than at any previous fair and the orders received are believed to constitute a record. The Manchester Guardian says that on a rough _ estimate orders to the value of £1,500,000 have already been put iri hand at the cotton exhibition, taking place at the White City, part of the London portion of the fair, which is mainly housed in the east buildings at Olympia. The Prime Minister, who visited trie heavy section of the fair at Birmingham yesterday, was the guCst of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce at a dimiei laM riight. He said he was much _ impressed by the optimistic note prevailing among the exhibitors.
