HOUSE BURNED TO GROUND disappearance OF OCCUPANT. DOGS AND SIX HORSES MISSING. An air of mystery surrounds the disappearance of Mr. Donald Morrison, of Mdranghae, Kohuratahi, whose house anfl adjoining shed were burned to the ground in the early hoilrs of Thursday morning. Some of the neighbours, it is understood, heard shotd near Mr. Morrison’? house last Wednesday evfenihg, and one Of Mr. Morrison’s dogs was found op Thursday dead as the result of a bullet wound. The other doge ate missiHg, as are Mr. Morrison’s six horses. The police and Others liavb been investigating, but Mr. MorrisOii seems to have disappeared completely.
