WAIPUKURAU BURGLARIES
CASH TAKEN FROM HOTEL ROOMS. TOBACCONIST SHOP ENTERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waipukurau, Feb. 13. Burglars were again active at Waipukurau last night. While the staff of the Leviathan Hotel was preparing dinner three of their bedrooms were entered and sum. totalling £4 10s stolen, and from Mrs. Ferguson, the proprietress, a cash-box containing £l4. A suit of man’s clothes was also taken. Hater in the evening, a nightwatchman discovered a pane of glass broken, in the shop of Peter Blair, tobacconist and hairdresser, where £ll in notes and silver had been Aiolen.
