BRITISH PALESTINE POLICY

EXPLANATION TO BE PUBLISHED.

British Wireless. Rugby, February 11. Answering a Parliamentary question to-day regarding the British policy in Palestine, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, stated that the Cabinet committee had been exchanging views with the Zionist leaders upon the interpretation of certain passages in the Government’s statement of policy issued in April last. It was proposed to embody the explanations given in the form of a letter to Dr. Weissman, which would be published. Asked by Commander Kenworthy whether the Zionist leaders were now in agreement on the matter, and whether they had been satisfied, the Prime Minister replied: “I think that when the letter is published it will be found that is so.”
