BLAZE ON RIMUTAKA HILL
POPULAR REFRESHMENT BOOM.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, Jan. 29. The well-known tea and refreshment rooms at the top of the Rimutaka Hill were destroyed by fire, either on Tuesday night or early yesterday morning. The little wooden building will be missed by motorists. For some years it has been a popular stopping place; in fact, it was seldom that one or more cars were not to be seen parked outside at most times of the day.
