LINESMAN’S FATAL FALL
SHOCK WHILE FIXING BELT. TRAGEDY IN WELLINGTON STREET By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Jan. 29. While adjusting his safety belt on an electric light pole in Featherston Street on Tuesday, Joseph Alfred Cole, aged 45, an employee of the electrical department of the City Council, came into contact with a 230-volt wife 18 feet from the ground. He received an electric shock and fell to the ground, sustaining injuries to his skull. He was removed to the hospital and succumbed early this morning.
