NEW PLYMOUTH WINS ROSE BOWTr STRANGE COINCIDENCE OF SCORES. The final game of the annual competition among croquet clubs of New Ply*' mouth. for the rose bowl donated by Dr. G. Home was played yesterday on the West End green when New' Plymouth won by 12 points from West End. The afternoon scores in both matches coincided with those of the morning. Details, West End names first, are:— Morning play: Captain Hartnell and Mrs. J nil 26 v. Miss Pavitt and Mrs. Martin 23, Mesdames Tiiigey and Hartnell 17 v. Mesdames Wyllie and Brown 26. Afternoon play: Captain.Hartnell and Mr® Jull 26 v. Miss Pavitt and Mrs. Martin 23, Mesdames Tjngey and Hartnell 17 v. Mesdames Wyllie and Brown Totals; New Plymouth 88, West End Stf.
