FERTILISER WORKS OPENED
REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING.

Dunedin, Last Night.
The official opening ceremony of the new Dominion fertiliser works at Ravenebourne was performed to-day by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. A. J. Murdoch, in the presence of several hundred people representative of th> farming community and local bodies. The buildings and adjacent land cover an area exceeding eight acres of harbour board lease. The main building is 800 feet long and 60 feet in height. The factory is designed to turn out 50,000 tons of 44-46 superphosphate per annum.
