WOMAN BEYOND HER DEPTH.
SUBSEQUENT SUDDEN COLLAPSE*

An elderly woman, Mra. Bennett, a' cook at the Whakatane Hotel, collapsed and died immediately after returning from bathing. While bathing she got out of her depth, but managed to reach the shore. While walking home she>_ complained of faintness and was assisted to the hotel. She arrived at Whakatane from Hamilton a few months ago.
