UNIFIED EDUCATION CONTROL
PROTEST FROM INVERCARGILL.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Invercargill, Jan. 16.
The Southland Education Board today discussed the Atmore report. Members expressed strong disapproval of the administrative proposals contained in it and the following resolution was passed: “While the board approves of many excellent suggestions made it unanimously rejects the suggestion of unification of the administrative organisation and control as suggested in section two, which we consider is another attempt to centralise control in Wellington.”
