OCCUPANTS’ HURRIED ESCAPE.

Fire completely destroyed ah old 12rooined house in Tennis Court Road, Khandallah, this evening. The building was a two-storeyed one constructed ot corru* gated iron and wood and owned by the Hanna Hanna estate and occupied by C. Bbseley and his son. The back portion onjv was used. The fire broke out in the front part, whjch was rarely entered. The fire being fanned by a - heavy wind the structure was destroyed rapidly and. the occupants . had oply time to snatch up a few belongings, ’the city brigade wae called, but was unable to do more than safeguard the neighbouring dwellings.
