THURSDAY CRICKET MATCH
WAITARA BEATS ELTHAM Waitara gained a two-point win over Eltham in the cricket match at Waitara on Thursday. Eltham batted first, reaching the total of 45, T. Kerr (10) being the only man to reach double figures. I. Page 9, S. Walker 8 mot out and E. Townsend 6 were the other topscorers. Pizzey took three-wickets for six runs and McCrae two for 12, Kingstone, Prior and Chadwick each taking one wicket. Waitara. compiled 73, Kingstone (22) and Muschamp (22) being the only double figure scorers. Leatham took four wickets for 18 runs,- S. Walker three for four and Drabble two for eight. ( In its second innings Eltham made 107 for the loss of. seven wicket? and declared. Kingstoue 38 and Pizzey 76 were the only ones of the few who batted to make a stand for Waitara.
