OPEN AIR MINIATURE GOLF.

To -morrow will see the opening of the Brighton Open Air midget golf course in St. Atibyn Street, New Plymouth, opposite the railway station. This course, which has been laid down on the latest and most up-to-date lines, has transformed a rather unsightly section into a real beauty spot and. an asset to the town. The neat green putting surfaces wind their way through a maze of rockeries, flower beds and shrubs and give a very pleasing effect. The turf is in excellent order,, and there it no real substitute fbr turf when it comes to getting pleasure out of putting. At present there, are no artificial hazards but each hole has a special characteristic and difficulty of its own. Special lighting has been erected and eight 500 candle-power lamps ensure, brilliant illumination at night. The course will open on Christmas Eve ..and the rapidly increasing midget golf public will have an opportunity of testing their skill under conditions as near as possible to those of an actual golf
