Two Italians, alleged to have escaped from the Otranto, have been arrested at Goulburn. The Orford sailed yesterday with 52 Italians who have been detained since’their arrival on December 3. The banned Italians aboard the Orford and Otranto created a disturbance at the Woolloomooloo wharf before sail-, ing ‘tijne. A large number, defying the guards, broke ship and reached the wharf, but police and. officials managed to stehi the rush and prevent their escape from the wharf precincts. . Finally tjie Orford’s captain managed to persuade the discontented ones to reembark. They were concerned about the landing money of £4Q apiece which the captain told them must remain in the ship’s custody till they returned.
