TO CANNING TOWN. ’ ??'• ■ London, Dec. 10. ; The Prince of Wales this afternoon paid’a visit to the East End of London and spent an hour inspecting various activities in the Canning Town dockland settlement. He also witnessed a film including Their Majesties talking to the 77-year-old Mrs. Peters, one of the oldest members of the Mothers’ Meeting section. ~ ; The Prince asked if he could see Mrs’. Peters, with whom he shook hands and chatted. Mrs. Peters says it was the proudest moment of her life. “I have had a cup of tea with the King and Queen and Princess Mary and spoken to Princess Beatrice,’.’ she said. “Now my dearest wish has been gratified—l have shaken, hands with the dear.
