HUATOKI DOMAIN PICNIC

W. Browne presided over a good attendance. The Mayor (Mr. H. V. S. Griffiths) and Mayoress were among those present. The chairman reported on the work done and made special reference to the pavilion and campens’ kitchen recently ‘ completed on the domain, which, he eaid, would greatly enhance the attractiveness of the place and, apart from providing the accommodation' ’ that campers required, would bora-source of • revenue to the domain. In previous years when an effort was made to raise funds the ladies’ committee had to work under difficult conditions.
