ORCHARD ACT INSPECTOR
NEW PLYMOUTH APPOINTMENT. Among the Public Service appointipents listed in the latest New Zealand Gazette is the appointment of Mr. Fred Swindells to be inspector for the purposes of the Orchard and Garden . Diseases Act, 1928. The appointment of Mr. Swindells for th© inspection of fruit chiefly in auction voorns, etc., follows closely upon th© appointment of another inspector for the inspection of fruit landed at‘the port. Previously bath these duties were carried out by an officer from Wanganui.
