A pleasant social evening was held at the residence of . Mr. J. Chard on ■Tuesday, when a number of young people gathered to celebrate the 21st. birthday of Mr. E. Chard. . Th© baths committee recently has 'been making further improvements to the baths in anticipation of summer. Las^- week a considerable portion of the bottom was re-coated and smoothed. ■The job was completed on Saturday and' 1 sand bagged off to set, but an unauthorised person closed the outlet during Sunday, filling the baths. Considerable damage lias been done to the sheds and other of the club’s property. A spot well worth visiting by motorists, but comparatively little known, is upper Saunders Hoad. For a considerable distance a Government reserve, lying between Saunders Road. and the ‘Stoney River, provides a fringe of natjjve bush right to the roadside, and splendid camping sites are in abundance. Mr. and Mrs. Len McCabe have taken up residence in their new home’ on the Carrington Road.
