Mr. P. Smith, Mangaweka,. who has been visiting Hawera, left yesterday for his home. Mr. Thomas M> Fitzgerald, son of Mrs. and Mr. J. Fitzgerald, Nolan Road, Hawera, has received ■ word that he hhs been successful in passing the firat section of the final professional examination in medicine held by the University of New Zealand.
