REGATTA AT NGAMOTU
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Ngamotu Beach and Regatta committee was held during the Week-end. Present; Messrs. E. T. Petty (chairman), L. W. Oldridge, A. Burgess, S. Woods, P. F, Bartholomew, R, Glengarry, Saunders, J. Donaldson, Q. Burgess and Gi E. Roper. , Arrangements for the day were well in hand, it was reported,-and further details were gone into to ensufe the success of the regatta.
It was decided .to publish a souvenir programme and details were left in the hands of the rowing .club. Advertisements were to be canvassed for, A popular jazz band will be engaged for the day. An endeavour will be made to have a Home liner at the port to act as flagship. , . Other arrangements covered were outboard motor races, treasure hunt, stall and numerous other novelty events.
