GIRL GUIDES’ RALLY. PROGRAMME FOR TO-DAY. South Tatanaki glides and'guiders will assemble at the winter show buildings, Haweru, at 9.30 this morning and inarm, to the showgrounds via High Street to take part in the.first divisional rally that has been held in the district

The morning ’ events will comprise interesting competitions in guide work, for which the various patrols and companies have beqn practising, assiduously, and they commence immediately after the “hbistirig of colours,” which ceremony is completed on arrival at the grounds. Following the luncheon adjournment (from 12 to 12.45) the sports section will begin with the guiders v. rangers relay race, and then the guide Sports section and the rangers’ ambulance events and sports section are carried on simultaneously at opposite sides of the grounds At 2.45 the roll call and patrol formation and the “horseshoe” formation with , colours for enrolment ceremony will be judged. At 3.30 the great event of the rally—the'browpie trot and guide march past the saluting base—will take place. In this all companies and packs will also take part. The president, Mrs. E. A. Pacey, and the executive have undertaken charge of the refreshment depot and morning and afternoon tea and a light lunch will be obtainable for the nominal charge of 6d. The- provincial commissioner (Mrs. D. K. Morrison), provincial secretary (Miss Skinner) and many other officials will be present from New Plymouth.
