HAWERA BAND NEW UNIFORMS.
The conductor, Mr. H. C. A. Fox, reported to the Hawera band committee on Tuesday that new uniforms had 'been distributed to bandsmen who were going to the concert. Five practices had been held by the senior band during the month and public appearances had been made in High .Street and at the show night sports. Many of the members had given services at the revue. Messrs Pearce, Gould and Swan were deputed to go into the question of carol« ling at Christmas in order to raise subscriptions towards the expenses of visiting Wellington for the concert. The old uniforms were allotted to the auxiliary 'band and next Sunday the senior organisation will parade ' the new uniforms.
