Second Wind (Grandcourt or Psychol-ogy-First Blow) ran up to his Melbourne Cup form to win the Williamstown Cup very comfortably on November 10. Second Wind, who was a surprisingly high-priced second favourite, was better placed than in the two-miler and was always in a winning position. Ho was second into the straight and finished on strongly to win by a length and a half from The Gay Mutineer. Second Wind, who carried top-weight—-9.4 —ran the mile and a half in 2min. 31sec,
