WIRELESS CABLE AGREEMENT

Scullin and Brennan discussed the cable-wireless agreement with Mr. Baillieu and others. They will decide d°finitely before sailing. It is expected that the Commonwealth will approve an agreement authorising the sale of the cable properties in Australia to Amalgamated Wireless in view of the difficult position arising if it refuses. There is a suggestion that Imperial Commumcatic -s might in the near future fix lower deferred wireless rates, though not so low as the penny a word suggested by the Empire Press Union.
